Discover how the UAL Online Student Success Team can support you

From the moment you start your studies to the day of your graduation, the UAL Online Student Success Team is here to support you. No question is too big or small - whether you need advice on unit selection, fees, policies, or to walk through your support options, the team will make sure you never feel like you’re navigating your online studies alone.

Our support is tailored to you, so you get the guidance that works best for your unique journey.

We spoke to Sebastian from the Student Success Team to explore what makes their role so special and how they can support you in your online studies.

“Support looks different for everyone, and sometimes it takes a moment to figure out what support you need or want. We are here to talk you through your available options and advise what might work best for you.”

We'll help you...

Book a welcome call

Before you start your course, you’ll be invited to a welcome webinar with other students from your course. Once you’ve finished your enrolment tasks, you’ll also be able to book in a personalised welcome call with someone from the Student Success Team.

“We’re a really friendly team and want you to feel supported in any way we can help. Between us, we have the experience to guide you through all the support that’s on offer to help you succeed.”

Stay on track with active reminders

The team will keep you informed and on track with deadlines and milestones, so you never feel like you’re navigating things alone. We will contact you at important points in your journey – from onboarding to tutorials and graduation.

“Don’t worry about reaching out and asking for information or for help. We’re here to support you. We love speaking to students and learning about how they’re progressing on their course, and figuring out how we can best support them, together.”

Navigate fees and funding

Financial decisions can have a significant impact on your studies, but we’ll simplify your options and connect you with the right teams for practical advice on tuition fees, loans, and financial planning.

Explore study breaks and extenuating circumstances

Life doesn’t always go to plan. Taking a break might not be the right decision for you, but if you need to request a study break or report extenuating circumstances, we’ll talk you through your options so you can make the decision that’s right for you.

“We always recommend that you get in touch with us as soon as possible if there’s a situation that might impact your ability to study or complete an assessment. This way we can ensure you’re getting the right support when you need it.”

Understand our policies

Understanding different policies and course regulations can be complex. If you ever need help understanding these documents and how they apply to you, we’ll explain them clearly and answer any queries you have.

Access Specialist Services

If you need more tailored support, we’ll connect you with the right people and services to make sure you’re fully supported.

“Usually, we’ll start with a short conversation to understand how we’re best able to help. Sometimes there are several support services that could be appropriate, depending on the circumstances. We always try to make the best recommendation for the student.”
